Account

From inside of the app, go to profile, then edit profile and scroll down. Tap change password, enter your current password followed by your new one and confirm.

From outside of the app, navigate to the login screen and tap on the 'Need help?' link. You will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your account. Once you receive the email, follow the link to enter in your new password.

From your profile view, tap on edit profile. Scroll down to the bottom and toggle the switch that says "Visible to Followers Only". This will make your profile and posts private and visible only to people who are already following you.

Important: Making your account private strongly reduces your visibility within the app. Your posts will not be displayed in explore, your profile will not be offered as a suggestion to other users or featured anywhere on the app. Your posts will also not be eligeable for Editor's Picks.

Notifications

From your profile, tap the gear button on the top right. Tap on the option "Push Notifications". From there you can choose which push notifications to turn on or off.

Sharing

You can share posts to Facebook or Twitter by tapping on the three dots on the bottom right side of a post, then select either Facebook or Twitter and follow the dialogues as directed.

ActiveSide makes it easy to control what content gets shared to Facebook. To access your share settings, simply tap on your profile from the main menu. Tap the gear button on the upper right hand side of the profile screen. From your settings screen, tap on the “Share Settings” link. Under Facebook options, tap on “Timeline Sharing”. From there you can control exactly what activity gets shared to Facebook.

Note: If you are unable to tap on “Timeline Sharing”, that likely means you do not have a linked Facebook account.

If you’ve linked a Twitter account to your ActiveSide profile, you can change or remove that link from your Share Settings screen.

Tap on your profile from the main menu. Next, tap on the gear button on the upper right hand side of the profile screen to access your account settings. Once inside, tap on the Share Settings link and you can modify your Twitter account as needed.

Reporting

To report inappropriate content on ActiveSide, tap on the three dots on the bottom right of the corresponding post. This will popup a button to report the post to us.

Once a post is reported, it will be removed from your feed and ActiveSide management will be notified. If the post is reviewed and determined to be inappropriate, the ActiveSide team will remove the post from the service and notify the user responsible for said post.

Note: ActiveSide will never disclose the user(s) who reported the content.

You can block a user by going to that users profile and tapping on the gear button on the upper right side of the screen.

To manage blocked users, go to your profile and tap the gear button. Tap on the option for "Blocked User Management".
